Privacy Policy

Summary

If you only read the e5 Versus website, no more information is collected than is typically collected in server logs by the web sites we list in general.

e5 Versus and Sources Tracked

Users have the ability to read more on target values they compare directly from our chosen sources specified.

If you choose to delve deeper and visit those web sites, it does not expose your identity publicly.

e5 Versus does not own information from identified sources to draw results but simply provides a real time aggregation tool for users on the platform.

Identification of a User

If you are logged into e5 Versus, you will be identified by your user name/email you specify upon registration. This may be your real name if you so choose, or you may choose to publish under a pseudonym, whatever user name you selected when you created your account.

Cookies and Web Beacons

e5 Versus may set a temporary session cookie whenever you visit the site. More cookies may be set when you log in, to avoid typing in your user name (or optionally password) on your next visit. You may clear these cookies after use if you are using a public machine and don'ʹt wish to expose your username to future users of the machine. (If so, clear the browser cache as well.)

e5 Versus does not currently use third-‐‑party advertising companies (such as Google) to serve ads when you visit our website. Although in the event it does, any company or their affiliates or business partners that choose to advertise may set their own cookies and/or may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. This information, usually used to serve interest-‐‑based advertising, includes users'ʹ browser, operating system, IP address, ISP etc.

In the event we advertise in the near future, other third parties whose resources are requested by web pages on e5 Versus may include Twitter and Facebook. In the future we may add other third-‐‑party widgets. All these services may set their own cookies, which they can use to track you and build a profile. Each of these companies may also sell the information they compile to third parties.

Some of e5 Versus’ components may also set cookies.

The list of third parties identified in this privacy policy is not exhaustive. e5 Versus reserves the right to work with any third party services, which may or may not use cookies.

You can choose to disable cookies from e5 Versus on previous comparison searches you performed in your history. If we do advertise in the future, you will be able to select from any of the third parties or advertising vendors (such as Google) by changing your browser settings or using other software tools. If you disable e5 Versus cookies, you will have to log in afresh to access the site’s full functionality.

Passwords

User passwords are the only guarantee of the integrity of a user on e5 Versus. All users are encouraged to select strong passwords and to never share them. No one shall knowingly expose the password of another user to public release either directly or indirectly.

Private logging

Every time you visit a web page from comparative searches you conduct, you send a lot of information to the web server. Most web servers routinely maintain access logs with a portion of this information, which can be used to get an overall picture of what pages are popular, what other sites link to this one, and what web browsers people are using.

The raw log data is not made public.

Log data may be examined by developers in the course of solving technical problems and in tracking down badly-‐‑behaved web spiders that overwhelm the e5 Versus site. IP addresses of users, derived either from those logs or from records in the database are frequently used to correlate usernames and network addresses of edits in investigating abuse of e5 Versus, including the suspected use of malicious "ʺsockpuppets"ʺ (duplicate accounts), vandalism, harassment of other users, or disruption of e5 Versus.

Sharing information with third parties

e5 Versus will not sell or share private information, such as email addresses, with third parties, unless you agree to release this information, or it is required by law to release the information. (please read about 3rd party cookies above.)

Security of information

e5 Versus makes no guarantee against unauthorized access to any information you provide. This information may be available to anyone with access to the servers.

User Data

On users, such as real names or the times at which they performed searches on the platform, will never be revealed to the public.

e5 Versus will not sell or share private information given upon registration, such as email addresses, with third parties, unless you agree to release this information, or it is required by law to release the information.

Removal of user accounts

Once created, user accounts will not be removed. However, if there is clear evidence of malicious or maltreatment of the site by a user, that user will be banned and removed from using e5 Versus. It may also be possible for a username to be changed – email to e5@enterfive.com. But e5 Versus does not guarantee that a name will be changed on request.
